Despre acest obiectiv
## Therapeutic Oasis on the Shores of Lake Amara Amara Spa Resort stretches along the shore of a lake with healing waters, just 7 km from Slobozia and 2 km from the eponymous village. Formed in a former bed of the Ialomița River, the lake covers 162 hectares, with a length of 4 km and a width varying between 200 and 800 meters. Its sulfated, chlorinated-sodium, and magnesium-rich waters, along with sulfurous springs and sapropelic mud, make Amara one of the most appreciated treatment destinations in the region. The black mud, with a strong hydrogen sulfide odor, turns gray upon contact with air and contains 41% inorganic salts, 39% organic substances, and 20% water. Its layer, with a thickness of 30-60 cm, is extracted and used in therapies for rheumatic, post-traumatic, neurological, and gynecological conditions. The continental steppe climate, with warm summers (22°C in July) and cold winters (-3°C in January), complements the natural healing factors. ## Treatments and Facilities for Visitors The resort's treatment centers offer a variety of procedures: mud and mineral water baths, paraffin wraps, underwater showers, ultrasound therapies, diadynamic currents, and therapeutic massage. While the benefits are numerous, there are contraindications for individuals with cardiovascular conditions, tuberculosis, or severe endocrine disorders. On the lake's shore, well-maintained beaches allow for relaxation, with access available for a fee that varies depending on the chosen area. The resort thus combines therapeutic tradition with modern facilities, offering a natural refuge for health and rest.
