Despre acest obiectiv
## A Corner of Enescian Inspiration in the Heart of Moldavia The George Enescu Memorial House in the village of Liveni, Botoșani County, preserves the memory of the early years of one of Romania’s greatest musicians. Reconstructed on the foundations of the composer’s birthplace, the museum was reorganized in 1970, offering visitors an authentic journey into the atmosphere of Enescu’s childhood. Here, among personal objects and his earliest creations, the presence of the young genius is still palpable—he composed his first pieces for violin and piano at just five years old. ## A House Full of Music and Memories The modest architecture, typical of 19th-century Moldavian countryside homes, now shelters an emotional collection of objects that belonged to the young George. His childhood piano, toys, drawings, and early musical manuscripts—including the celebrated "Țara Românească" and "Poema Română"—recreate the world in which his talent was nurtured. Photographs and documents on display complete the story of the years spent in Liveni, offering a vivid portrait of the environment that inspired the young musician. ## Visitor Information The museum is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Access is from the city of Botoșani, with the village of Liveni located approximately 20 kilometers away. Visitors can explore the few rooms of the house, where each exhibited object bears the imprint of Enescu’s personality, transforming the place into a true sanctuary of Romanian music.
