Despre acest obiectiv
## Magna Curia Palace – Deva’s Renaissance Jewel Located on 1 Decembrie Boulevard in the heart of Deva, Magna Curia Palace stands as one of the most valuable architectural testimonies of the 16th century in Transylvania. Originally built in the Renaissance style, the edifice was erected during a period of cultural and political flourishing, serving as a noble residence and administrative center. ## Architectural Evolution and Interwoven Styles Though initially designed in the spirit of the Renaissance, the palace underwent significant transformations in 1621, when Baroque elements were added, giving it an eclectic character. Modifications in the first half of the 18th century further emphasized this stylistic fusion, blending the refinement of Renaissance lines with the opulent ornamentation typical of the Baroque. The façades retain sculpted frames, elaborately profiled windows, and a monumental portal, testaments to the craftsmanship of the era. ## Hunedoara County Museum – A Window into Heritage Today, Magna Curia houses the Hunedoara County Museum, an institution that preserves and exhibits collections of archaeology, history, ethnography, and fine arts. Among the remarkable exhibits are Dacian treasures, medieval documents, and decorative art objects, offering visitors an immersive journey into the region’s complex history. The building itself, with its vaulted halls and inner courtyards, enhances the cultural experience. ## Visitor’s Guide The palace is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The admission ticket includes access to both permanent and temporary exhibitions. For a complete experience, it is recommended to combine your visit with an exploration of Deva Citadel, located just a few minutes away. Free parking is available in the adjacent area.
